Connect with us...
Music, especially live performance, has the power to connect people like no other art form.
For 2025, we've received grant funding from the Sunshine Coast Council for a range of projects aimed at building engagement with orchestral music on the Sunshine Coast. These include the commission of a new work based on iconic landscapes of the Sunshine Coast, free singing workshops for our audience members to join us in singing Handel's Hallelujah Chorus in concert, and staging exciting new programs like our Latin Passions concert.
We'd love to get to know our audience better - come and say hello! Tell us what you've enjoyed and share your suggestions for future concerts.

Meet our players...
SCSO Violinist (and President) Greg Seeto
You can check out Greg's bio on the "who we are" page to read up on his incredible career achievements so far as a lawyer and musician, but here are some fun facts about Greg that show why we love him at SCSO...
-
Greg has had a lifelong passion for Surf Lifesaving. He has served on the Board of Surf Lifesaving Australia and been a member of several Qld clubs.
-
Greg took a "corporate gap year" in 2018 and worked for a time as a lifeguard on Walt Disney's resort island in the Bahamas. Being a super swot it was a shock to Greg to almost fail the intake test for not being able to name enough Disney Princesses.
-
Greg's dog Ralph spent many Monday nights as a puppy in his crate under Greg's chair, appreciating the wonderful talents of his master. Sadly Ralph had to be "excluded" from SCSO rehearsals for barking in the quiet bits, and the loud bits, and tuning, and the pack up....
So, now you know Greg a little better come and say hello at our next event. If you need a conversation opener ask him what they call "sharks" on Walt Disney's Island, it's hilarious. Don't be shy - we love meeting our audience members!
